MẮM Vietnamese Street Food was founded by Hien and Phi-Yen. We are sisters with a big love for delicious food, and a passion for cooking; whether it's authentic dishes that can take up to hours, or even days, to prepare or trying out new recipes. We just love being in the kitchen. The most exciting part of it all is having a feast with your loved ones. Seeing happy faces enjoying our food, that's what makes us truly happy. And so, it began... The start of MẮM.

About Vietnam
Vietnam is well-known for its busy streets with many street vendors where you can grab something to go or eat it on the spot on a small plastic stool. Lots of vendors sell only a few dishes using recipes of authentic dishes that are passed on from generation to generation. You can really taste the love and passion they put into their cooking, and they will always try their best make you feel warm and welcomed, as if you're at home. Those are the street vendors that we love to visit when we're on holidays in Vietnam. So, we thought to ourselves, “That's what we want to bring over to Nijmegen. A complete Vietnamese experience!”

We would love for everyone to enjoy the Vietnamese experience at MẮM. That is why we have many options on our menu, whether you're a vegetarian, pescatarian, vegan, you name it, there is something for everyone. And for those observing Islamic teachings, you can rest assured that we buy our beef and chicken from a local Halal butcher.

We are very happy to welcome everyone into our home at MẮM, to have a Vietnamese experience.
